Safari Attractions in and Around Nyimba District

Nyimba District also hosts a growing wildlife and tourism sector supported by several safari areas. Within the district is the Munyamadzi Game Reserve, a private wildlife sanctuary along the Luangwa River offering game drives, walking safaris, and birdwatching. The district also includes Mbizi Game Reserve, located in the Ndevu area of Nyimba, which provides both photographic and game-viewing activities.

In addition to these, Nyimba serves as an access point to the broader Lower Luangwa Valley, connecting to nearby safari experiences such as Nyalugwe Game Management Area and Luangwa–Nyimba GMA Safari Areas, where visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing, guided nature walks, and community-based tourism activities. Together, these four safari options contribute to Nyimba’s emerging reputation as a gateway to authentic wildlife and nature-based tourism.
